During school breaks I occasionally offer interactive performance workshops for children grade 1-5 in museums and libraries featuring stories from Greek mythology.

In the 2-hour workshops children are introduced to the Greek Gods and the possibilities and tricks that shadow puppetry offers. This is followed by the performance of particular myths, during which children are asked to help handle puppets and props behind the screen.

In the second half of the workshop children create  their own shadow puppets using samples and cutouts, which they can try out behind the screen.

Workshops are suitable for groups of up to 25 children. Depending on age, help of parents is required to help create the puppets.

Location: museums and libraries within 50 miles of Princeton, NJ
